Ludum Dare 44 was my very first gamejam, which is where you create a game, and everything else in 48 hours! That includes code, music, art, sound effect, no sleep, loads of coffee, oof. It was a lot of fun, and I've always enjoyed watching other people's "Making a game in 48 hours" video, so I wanted to try it out myself. You can watch the video on my channel. It's called Fair n Square, and is an action shooter, with squares! I also made a game in 1 day, about a ball, called Balls? That video can also be found on my channel: "Making a Game in ONE Day (12 Hours)". And this weekend, it's Ludum Dare 45, which means we're making another game in 48 hours / 2 days! It didn't quite go as expecte though, and I definitely tried for a much bigger game than I had time for...

The shooting sound reminds me of retro arcade games. I don't remember older dungeon games having mini maps. Gauntlet, Fatal Labyrinth, Deathtrap Dungeon, Diablo, Shining in the Darkness. Though these games did have maps.

really fun dungeon crawler dani! Not to gloat or anything but i made it to floor 10 on one heart, i know kinda epik, and after i made it to floor 10 i imedietly found the next floor teleporter in the next room and the same thing happened on the next floor. Overall, i think this is a really fun game, but it could use a few patches, if u have spare time on your hands.
