@@TheMergeAI yeah man, AI honestly helping me at work so much - I've linked much of our company data to a custom GPT - I think there's scope for freelance AI-advocate work keeping company's internal bots up to date with latest financial info etc

This is great! I used 3.5 the other day for a website. Gave it a mockup to start from. Didn't nail it first try, but some simple prompting got it to and beyond the initial design. I need to revisit a game idea I had.

Part of the issue here is that you could be achieving your goals faster if you learn a little jaron. For instance, "gradually ramp up the difficulty" is open to a huge range of interpretation compared to "set the number of cloud enemies equal to 1/2 score variable rounded down". Also, not a "sidescroller" as there is no scrolling to either side.

yup not fixing bugs is quite annoying, even happens on 3.5 (though much less), I tend to just restart a new session from where i left off, or changing my prompt. If all that doesnt work, I gotta turn on my brain and actually solve it myself

This is certainly a “bad game” 🤣 But remember this is the worst this tech will ever be. In AAA games I think it frees up more of the budget to focus on testing, gameplay, story and character development.

The BEGINNING? Bad games come out every single day, and have been that way since indie games started getting attention. So like, 15 years ago? Places like steam are just gonna have to start limiting who gets to release and who doesn't. More than likely, a new platform will be born that just infinitely generates new experiences, and they will get better.
