I learned a trick with double sided tape. Run your glue stick over the sticky tape and you have wiggle room to move your paper then use bone folder to stick it down. Works like a charm

Michael’s paper pads, esp the Recollections, are THE best deals out there in paper stacks. When you can get a high quality beautiful stack for $5, (what? yep it’s true) there is no better deal. And their designs are really lovely! You always have to check the weight with your fingers (the best art tool in the world) but most of them are very good and often heavyweight. I have, however, banned myself from buying anymore paper at this time. 😮😢

It would be a big help if you would show the finished product at the start of the video. Secondly, I was able to score another piece to glue on the outside where the spine is. Then, if I were to sew in signatures, it would be sustained. Thank you again. 😊 ❤❤

You should try Bearly Art glue, it has more wiggle room when gluing than Art.

Hi. I wanted to share something with you. I had to watch this video almost 10 times because I'm not good with measurements. Even when using tools. I was frustrated with myself because it helped me if I had the exact tools as I watch videos. Meaning, I'm a lefty and my scoreboard measurements are from the right. So, I would pause this video and step away. I realized that I do need another scoreboard that the measurements are starting from the left. Needless to say, I finally did it using my ruler instead of the scoreboard. Now, some of the papers I feel were crooked. I thought it was my imagination. But I pushed through it. Then the edges were tearing and I know how to reinforce that. This project was very stressful for me because I have a habit of beating myself up. Working on that. I want to thank you for this video because now that I know the techniques, I can move forward. ❤❤❤❤❤

Good for you for pushing forward and finishing it! I can see how being a lefty would make it difficult because you do things opposite of us right handed folks. Especially when you’re learning something new. If it makes you feel any better, the first time I made one, it wasn’t good! And that is ok! I’ve learned that I need to make something as a trial run when I’m first learning it….im a visual learner, so I have to be hands on. With that said, I’m sure your second one will go much smoother now that you’ve made the first one. I think we learn a lot with the first one.

I LOVE that paper pad you used. It is kind of witchy (which is a bit of me) without being too over the top. Purple is my least favourite colour too (I know you associate it with your sister. I associate lavender with my sister, which is purple). I do like a dark dark purple though. Anyway - loved this glue folio. I have made two - I mentioned in the comments of another video that I made them to put travel photos for my niece and nephew. I have two signatures in the one for my niece - it fits really nicely. I was surprised. The photos I am adding are just printed on sticky paper, so they aren't too bulky like a normal photo (they look fab). I have been hoarding Halloween paper for years and years - I think I might make myself a halloween gluefolio. Eeek
