You should make a series on making saltwater lures and fishing in freshwater; and making freshwater lures to fish in saltwater. Then, when the kiddos get older, you can take them out to try and make as many O-Fishal as possible, on a coast. Family trip, fishing content, O-Fishal list, more lure options/content, memories for a lifetime

I can't wait for the Baitligations to fire up in the springtime! This bait is gonna get smacked!!! Awesome bait once again Nate! I really enjoyed watching you get creative on the fly like that with the brain and the bite marks. Those tend to be your best looking baits when you just have fun with it. Tight lines brother!! Until Spring!!!

You should partner with a knife making channel and donate all your used razor blades to make a custom carving knife. You probably have a pallet full of them by the end of the year. Lol.

be careful with the exposed index finger when carving, keep the fingers tucked and safe. happy holidays.

I am from Brazil. What we fish most here is tucunaré, we have 3 most common types, yellow, blue and açu (which is the one from the Amazon - cichla temensis). There are really no records of peacock bass measuring 1m, but there are several over 90cm.

Cichla Ocellaris as its known in the aquarium world. I used to sell them at a pet store. Babies would fetch about $50-$100 in the 80's. We had a pair in our big 1000 gallon aquarium at the store. Beautiful fish! Awesome job. Still think you should do a Magikarp lure!

Fun facts: earthling fishes didn’t have a skull in the beginning. They only started to develop one a couple generations later. And knowing the colors of the peacock bass is very similar to the environnement at that time, it would only be safe to say that they were around at the skulless fish era, way back then. This bait is extremly realistic and accurate. An historical masterpiece. Bravo! 🧠 🐟

In my experience peacock bass put up a fight equal to an active smallie, pound for pound. 8 pound mono was more than enough for a day of fishing for them. Our groups largest I believe was just under 10 pounds.

If you would like to try again to make lures from fish skin Id recommend a yt chanel by the name of kovislures who has show and tell videos of making them with english subtitles. The process takes about 30-40 days so id recommend trying this during the winter since you cant really fish much. Loved this project too

If you cut slits in the fingers of regular gloves, palm side on the last knuckle of thumb fore and middle fingers, you can pull the tips over your fingers for warmth and stick you fingers through the slits for tying hooks, putting plastics on jigheads or anything else fiddly.

I have an idea! What if you made a lure of fish, that doesn't have a nucal hump, and add a nucal hump. For example a mosquito fish. Then add a nucal hump of gargantuan size. Then catch a fish with it. Catch a fish with a hunchback of Notré Dam style lure
