I have been making sock gnomes filling them with rice. I decided to make this kind and guess what! It was the best one I have made and I gave it to my friend who has breast cancer. She told me she would like one with eyes and so this is my first with eyes. I didn’t get around to putting arms or feet but it still turned out great and she loves it. Thank you. From South Carolina

For most beginners and those making a quantity of gnomes to sell, I would recommend the regular felt squares from Hobby Lobby or Joann's to save money. My wife likes to buy me the premium felt because she uses it for other projects too. You can also get more variation of colors in the premium felt.
