It reminded me of how Sarah Raven submerges her hydrangeas, so fascinating and sublimely beautiful

Hydrangeas are amazing for that! Hellebores also do well with a bath! hahah

Glorious! Not only are you a talented designer, you are also really good at explaining your design decisions - this is a rare combination. Very helpful to see your sustainable "trust the moss" method. Fantastic, thank you!

Fun Fact; I noticed moss growing on the paths between my back yard beds this spring, so I left it to grow. I expected it to dry up and die in our long heat wave but it did not. Now, if I want to use moss, I have a good supply within easy reach! In previous years i might have removed it when weeding the paths, but not anymore. Also, I just noticed this wreath is now your thumbnail pic, looks good.

Hi Evelyn! Aah yes! That would be such a great topic to cover; because it’s possible to even cultivate the moss! You can even plant small amounts of it and propagate new sections of it! I’m thrilled that you have made this discovery 😄. Also thank you, it’s so rare for me to be in the photos rather than the one taking the photos, I thought it was high time for a fresh photo…the other was at least 4 years old 😄

What a beautiful wreath! Before I became a flower farmer growing cuts for bouquets and designs, I was attracted to creating wreaths using dried elements, and although I no longer do drieds, have not lost the attraction to them. I have used chicken wire structures stuffed with wet moss to hold flowers for wedding arches and such. What would you use such a beautiful wreath for? An outside venue? The wet moss limits the ability to use it inside, so would you not use it on an easel or wall inside? Thank you for always being so clear, while so inspiring.

Thank you! It was for a sympathy and it’s fine on an easel indoors or outdoors (doesn’t drip) 😄
