Beautiful, I’ve actually managed to make my first Coptic bound book - with the help of KZbin - it’s only small and not the neatest but I’m guessing it all gets better with practice. It does seem to be a very relaxing activity, though it’s more relaxing to watch someone else do it properly! Thank you.

Hello!, I have a question about the paper, when you fold it i see that it is all equal but when I do it the middle is bigger and it looks ugly because of it. I think its because the paper in the back is further and the paper in the middle if closer. Do you know how I can fix this??
@bookbindig_studio5 ай бұрын
Hello ! Everything looks the same because it is sharpened. That means that I took it to a printing press and they ran it through a guillotine so that the edges were all the same. It can be done manually with a cutter, I don't show it because it is very difficult to make it look good doing it manually. What you mention is logical that it happens, when folding the sheets they are different.

Im in a major problem rn. I have this A4 stitchbound sketchbook. It doesnt have the spine cover its exposed so you can see the binding. I drew on both pages but the first section got and lose and eventually broke. The string just snapped. I tried using thread and just trying to fix it no luck. No tutorials on repairing so I was kinda alone. It was all falling apart I decided to remove it since the thread seems to be breaking really bad and affecting the other section I tied it to. Well its section snapped off. Othe rpages are fine but book cover and section 1 is apart from the whole other side of it. What do I do?? For reference Im using one that has the name Jean-Michael Basquiat. It has a skill and its all black. Pretty "bare bones" looking. I will greatly appreciate if you can help me fix it. As I cant find anybody to help.
