@shootermcmillan6 жыл бұрын
Nicely done! How satisfying it is when we create something with your own hands. Alec certainly lent his tools and expertise, but you should feel a great deal satisfaction and accomplishment. One day long from now your own son may show the video of when granddad made his own axe and knife...and when it comes time for your grandson to receive those tools it won't simply be a thing that they are getting. I have a knife that my grand father made, and one that my father made and they are special among all the items I possess . I plan to make a knife for the express purpose of handing the collection to my son to keep and hopefully pass on to his own son one day.

T&A ADVENTURES That's what I love about humanity and their necessities for tools. We got here to the modern day cause we were so adept in making and using tools. After the rise in mass production we lost some of our masteries of using our hands, making and using said tools. But recently there has been a resurgence of interest in the crafts that our fore fathers and mothers have been so keen on prefecting, and this fact makes me unbelievably happy.

Definitely a delight to watch another collab between two KZbinrs and gents that I enjoy watching. I recently saw the striker, bushcraft knife and when you had him out of the workshop and into your realm as well. It is always great to learn new skills and be able to create your own tools like this awesome little camp hatchet, I like the head shape and the burnt wood handle, as well as the perfect and super sharp knife that you can baton and feather stick some wood. Cheers. :)

Awesome work, Im sure someone mentioned it, but when hanging the handle, let the head free hang while smacking the bottom of the handle, It allows for a more even friction fit, without forcing the head on. it also guarantees less chance of splitting the eye. (not that it happens alot). (Just another of a bunch of methods, but its very effective). I absolutely love the extra angle down at the fawns foot, I made a tomahawk handle (twice) with the same style curved handle and it was so much nicer to use.
