Thanks for your effort, but the mics are to much apart from another, the sound difference, just from the position, is much greater the the mics itself

Lewitt is really great for those punchy in your face modern vocals. But still I also like the 818. Fairly natural sounding. The AKG was way low mid biased to me.

Interessanter wäre hier das c414XLII gewesen. Das XLS ist weniger modern oder "into the face" und zurückhaltender. Das XLII hätte sich vermutlich besser geschlagen...

ive found the XLS sounds like shit compared the the XLII, which to me, is the best variant of the C414, 2nd place would be the original EB. as for the OC818, ive tried it against the 414XLII, and i think its marginally better, im yet to compare my lct640 to either, but ive tried the lct640 against a neumann U87 AI and the LCT640 puts neumann to shame

For me: 1 Lewitt, 2 AKG, 3 Warm/Austrian in this test.

OC818 sounded closer to a real mix. The Lewitt had too much presence typically what beginner mixers go for. Too much ear candy doesn't translate well across all listening devices.

Thanks for a great track and getting all these mics together for a showdown👍 However when Philly is singing - please excuse me if I spelt his name wrong, but you didn’t credit him in the description. He’s not in a similar position for each mic, he’s singing directly into the top mic and the others are beneath his chin. I know it’s difficult to get the placement the same for each mic, but it sorta defeats the object of a test as it doesn’t give a proper comparison.

Austrian und Warm Audio klingen in meinen Ohren am besten. Der Lewitt hat irgendwie giftige Höhen und der Akg klingt wie in einem Fass.

how to best compare these to the Lewitt 540 S or 640, or the 441 Flex mic from Lewitt? Lewitt got good prices on their mics, but is this company better?! or are they so similar that one should choose one based on price? Thanks to anyone helping out to clarifying this! Is cyber week and ai am about to order one company over the other... So really appreciate some help to understand this better! 😊
