I really like that you use a bunch of "use what you can get" items and techniques. Shows everyone how accessible the hobby really can be. No need for all the super fancy tools and such for great results!

Thank you! I’m on a sort of budget and I know a lot are in the same boat so I try my best to find ways to get things done without breaking the bank!

Awesome job on the car park. All it needs now is a bit of weathering and some signage and of course people and vehicles! Really enjoying these videos mate. - Nicholas.

Thanks for sharing Growing up, The Daylight 4449 was my favorite. Had the VHS and everything. Now? I'd have to say the SD40-2 or the SD60-2 Thanks (as always) for sharing these great ideas and techniques.

The Daylight is in my top 5 for steam for sure. The SD series are beautiful as well!

if you are using "standard" joint compound, instead of using sand paper, you should try using a damp sponge! (and fill 1 or 2 gallons of water in a bucket to periodically rinse the sponge) Basically, fully soak the sponge, and then squeeze out "most" of the water. The more dry the sponge, the less of the joint compound will be "sanded/smoothed" as you work. The best part - no dust! Using a puddy knife to remove the "blobs" from the roadways first... creating just a tiny bit of dust & debris, but nothing like when sand paper is used.

Before you get too far, you might consider a photo backdrop. Making nice progress.

Really enjoying your episodes, I been in the hobby of model railroading and Rc cars from as young as I can remember. All scales too, albeit I’ve never had a dedicated layout in HO, so watching these videos are inspiring as some of the others on KZbin are good but super advanced and they don’t explain it so simply and down to earth. Keep it up mate 🍻

When I was little when me and my family went to see our family and near their town there was this Bojangles, we always ate at this Bojangles that was at least 50ft next to the railroad tracks.

For the timber that bowed when you painted it. If you paint both sides it won't bow. keep up the good job.

Hi Top Railroad! Happy Friday my friend! It looks great! Don’t forget to add the drive thru lane! Have a great day BTW - I grew up fairly close to the Northeast Corridor. My favorite locomotive is the GG1. Personally I love the power of steam locomotives. Diesels are cool too Have a great day! Looking forward to the next episode!

When I start my layout I'm gunna do videos too but on my layout I'm gunna prolly have 80% Diesel engines and 20% Steam Engines just cause I want a Duluth Misabi IronRange Big Boy since I live here and a Hudson and maby couple bullet nose 1's like the Blue Comet and the red and Black bullet pennsy
