Hi Tom, getting close to my other long time hobby, blacksmithing (not a farrier, so the only time I shoe a horse is to tell them to get away). But I do have farrier friends that give me horseshoes from time to time. But making metalwork has one thing in common with turning wood; you have to finish both. I hare wire brushing metalwork as much as sanding woodwork. A necessary evil. Nice project. Now you need to make a cork screw and some bottle stoppers (just in case your unable to finish a bottle by yourself and need to save it for later).😃 Stay safe and well (be careful not to drink too much, too fast of the alcohol based sanitize 😉). And keep the videos coming. Cheers, Tom

Thanks Tom, I'm thinking of making a little back yard forge to have a play around again, I use to teach an enrichment blacksmithing course at a local secondary school to teenagers (as that's my other hobby to) but sadly the old gas forge was condemned so sadly haven't played around with blacksmithing for a long while. Maybe I'll have a go at doing some blacksmithing project videos in the future if I ever do make a forge 😁 thanks for watching 👍

They're called toe clips and there's also shoes with one on each side called quarter clips. Helps if a horse shears nails off and helps stabilize the hoof if there's cracks or gaps to grow out.

Thanks zach your awesome 😁 always wondered why there was ones with one clip on and others with two 👍thanks for watching 😁

Thanks for your comment, you are right black sheep is a Yorkshire beer (it's a nice one too) didn't quite have enough Welsh beer and cider to fill the rack 😉 thanks for watching

The Welsh Woodman 😂 I’m just picturing a rack full of Penderyn 😉. Love the work Tom. Nice to see another string to your bow in this.

I’m late to the party here but I’d really like to know if you can remember how many amps your welder was set to and also which rods you used ? 6013 ? How many mm thick ? Thanks v much
