Physics lesson for you: Pressure is done in Lbs or Kgs per area. When you distributed those 10 tons over several square inches then you no longer have that type of pressure. It's much less. Watching from here I would say you don't even have a ton per square inch anymore.

And its a cultural thing to braai (to have a barbeque) on that day...so your idea might come in handy to make a few of those briquettes ahead of time. So i will try it out👍

These few briquettes could be considered an achievement if they were worth as an artificial work of art. But no. They will burn in less than an hour. That is, you made them longer than they will burn. And since they are made mainly of paper, they will burn really quickly and only if you dry them well for a couple of months (not days or even weeks). The press is not bad. But for the production of briquettes, it is fantastically unsuitable, because it is very inefficient: on the video it is noticeable that you raised, lowered, pushed something more, bowed to the press - all this is difficult and 6 briquettes are not worth this effort and suffering. And all those who dare to repeat it will be bitterly disappointed. Even though the press compresses the briquettes quite powerfully. The task of the press for briquettes is to make them as quickly as possible, with little effort by the operator. Otherwise, it will be long and difficult, and you will tire quickly without the desired result. Look for other models of presses if briquettes are really a priority.

@@alexstrauss3620O, Yeah! I don't understand anything about home production of presses and briquettes... after several thousand produced briquettes on a self-assembled and welded powerful press. Unlike you, an analyst from the couch who only posts smiles on KZbin without any specifics. Why be so stupid and stupid and still write to people that they are wrong about something? Here is my press, here are my briquettes. I have 1 briquette with preparation of raw materials produced in 68 seconds, several hundred briquettes per day. The press was also made with calculations for comfort and reliability of work for more than 2 weeks. i.ibb.co/0sYvDqB/scv-15272549501031493218960.jpg i.ibb.co/tx4zVnP/IMG-xrn3pro-20180517-175553-1.jpg i.ibb.co/MgZmYrz/IMG-20180528-163759.jpg i.ibb.co/VpS8HtX/IMG-20180528-163743.jpg i.ibb.co/3zn8xPs/IMG-20190627-190704.jpg i.ibb.co/YkRgn2b/IMG-20190627-190639.jpg And it's budget, but it works, it's not a shame to show it. There is something to tell from my own experience. Well, you're just babbling here with words without any specifics. Because you are a liar. And even if you do something yourself, you're just a stupid brat and a bastard.

i agree it would have been easier to just make a screw extruder and hook a decent motor to it, would eat through material faster than he can load it. sadly the labor/benefit ratio on these small projects relegates them to novelties not more.

The point is to keep costs low and use scrap materials that would otherwise go to the landfill. He isn’t trying to heat his house. Most of us use such things just to heat our shops and even then it isn’t intended to make a comfortable temperature but instead just take the bite out of the air. If you want easy and dense fuel then throw everything in the land fill and buy wood pellets or use natural gas. Your critique shows absolute ignorance of what is being achieved.
@jbnrusnya_should_be_punished

 @ajhubbell3754 You can't burn wood pellets in any wood stove. I bought 1t of them and had almost a disaster with even a low amount of them. They burn very actively and cause lots of smoke. So I had to sell the rest of 950 kgs. Only wood briquettes are good. Ignorance? Ha-ha! I made a perfect briquette press in 2018. Since that time I made 10000 briquettes by myself. And they are better than in this video. Moreover, I made them with less effort. That's why I always comment on such videos where there is lots of work but a minimal amount of final product. i.ibb.co/mzgdQ8Z/IMG-xrn3pro-20180517-175615-2.jpg i.ibb.co/tx4zVnP/IMG-xrn3pro-20180517-175553-1.jpg i.ibb.co/MgZmYrz/IMG-20180528-163759.jpg i.ibb.co/fCdnFxR/IMG-20180528-163700.jpg i.ibb.co/3zn8xPs/IMG-20190627-190704.jpg i.ibb.co/YkRgn2b/IMG-20190627-190639.jpg So who is stupid now? Yes, you! Don't judge someone's words if you don't know this person.
