One way you might be able to get the pinkish/strawberry blonde hair is by taking a chalk pastel and an exacto knife, slowly grading off the pastel, applying it to the hair with a paintbrush/hands, and you could stain the hair that way, idk if it works on nylon but I know it works on yarn, dark colors may take awhile/not be as effective, but I think it might be something to look into

fellow doll customizer here😭 how do you get the acrylic paint so smooth on the body? and does it chip around the joints?

You have to water it down and layer it that way ; ; you have to make so many coats but it also reduces the visibility of brush strokes. Or use an airbrush but who has an airbrush The paint will always chip around the joints even with sealants sadly, but dying the body will change the color of the joints too. Also if you dye it make sure the dye is safe to use on the Vinyl or resin of the doll!

I find that a small flat brush really helps me get the paint looking smooth! It’s a long process to repaint the whole body several times but I think it’s worth it. :)

I love the doll! And a good tip for if you keep doing dolls is to use q-tips instead of cotton balls to get the old face off :>

Q-tips do work really well, but in my experience using something bigger like a cotton pad/ball just makes the process a little faster and easier :)
