Making a Large Format GIF With Expired 4x5 Film

Knowing that you scan this on a Flextight, and seeing how sharp the image can still get even with that much of a crop is so good. I really appreciate your work. Something about it keeps the creative juices afloat in me. Don't stop doing what you're doing

This is very very cool Willy. I am seeing first time a gif with large format. Very interesting to see the different look of films. My favourite is Provia from this bunch.

Awesome idea! I don't really see myself diving into large format, maybe I'll shoot with someone else's camera every now and then, but I think I like the pace I can shoot 35mm with and when I want to be a little slower and more intentional, medium format will do me just fine :)

never understood why people shoot on expired film, i personally love to capture colour and expired film lacks that. i wondered what you plan to do with the GIF?

I guess some people personally love the look of expired film! I definitely use fresh film for stuff I want to turn out proper looking, but it can be fun to mess around with old stocks that might give a cool look that doesn’t exist anymore! The purpose of the gif was to test the expired film and see how it rendered haha, I decided I didn’t want 6 frames of the exact same scene though so had Chris move around the scene, and it ended up being cool to make a gif out of!

Cheers Noah! I'd have wanted him to look like he was falling even if it was just that photo lowkey ahaha, just to add interest to the frame! The B&W stock in the minitec was Ilford XP2 cus I didn't want to wait around for true B&W to be developed haha, quite impressed with how it rendered though, probably won't be able to darkroom print it nicely most likely but it was quick and easy lol!
