I am learning bobbin lace and learning this stitch had been very hard. After looking everywhere for a demonstration this is the only one that helped me finally get it! Hello Felicita; your praise is welcomed. I was just the "tech. guy" who videoed the demo and posted...hopefully for someone to see. My wife and a "Maine" friend are the lacers. I recognize the bobbins but wouldn't know a cross from a twist!

It was brought to my attention that over 35 000 people had viewed this. It is surprising considering we only know of possible less than 50 bobbin lacers within about a 500 km radius of our corner of Canada.

I use continental and east midlands bobbins, and have no problems making tallys with either.. they just need a different approach to handling, but east midlands should be thrown, not passed anyway....
