Awesome videos and very informative as well! You'll find out over time that veg tanned leather burnishes much easier than chrome tanned leathers. You can also use some bees wax when burnishing. Then just a tip on those sheaths (I learned the hard way), you might want to but a welt on the end where the knifes cutting edge would be sliding against. Otherwise over time the thread will get cut up.

Brilliant content, I am working on making my first wallet, what I am struggling with is the type of glue to use, how exactly to do pockets and how to cut through 2 to 3 pieces of 5oz leather perfectly straight.

Thanks Jonathan! I use craft glue for leather that I'm going to stitch immediately. For pieces that need to be stuck together for longer before I stitch, I use contact adhesive. My only advice for cutting that many layers of thicker leather is to use a new blade. I find that newer blades glide through the leather much easier. Always use a cutting matt with measurements on so you're able to line up your ruler to get it 100%. Check out my video on Making a Leather Bifold wallet, that can give you a better idea of how to do pockets. Thank you so much for watching!
