Here's a simple Leather Trifold Card Wallet you can try on. This can fit some cards and some bills too. It closes with a simple hidden snap. Is there a reason not to use one of the leather edges? You would get a bigger piece of "waste" that could theoretically be used for something else.

One of the reason we select parts and move around patterns is to select sections with minimal imperfections. Those "waste" with scratch marks or imperfections on it maybe used for something else. Real leather will always have those.

Can we recognize how much material you waste?... super wasteful. Pattern placement and having it cut out is helpful to lessen waste. Leather isn’t cheap. Other than the waste, great tutorial.
