In this video I am making a traditional small leather pouch. These were used for thousands of years as money purses or for storing other small items. You also see these in fantasy films and TV programmes such as Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and Game of Thrones.
●▬▬▬▬▬๑♫♫๑▬▬▬▬▬▬●
The music in the video is 'Parasail' from KZbin's royalty free music library.

I noticed some people were complaining about the fact that I used a plastic cord lock on this when it's a leather pouch. There are several more traditional options you could use for this, namely either just knotting the cord or using a bone or wooden bead on the cord. Knotting the string is a nuisance and is likely to get snagged and come un-done. A bone or wooden toggle doesn't have the same grip that a cord lock does and won't close the pouch securely. Everything that I do I think through at length, please don't think I either don't know how to do it another way or can't be bothered! I have used the cord lock because it is the best solution for this item; sometimes there is a compromise between form and function, function should come first. I don't make items which won't work as well by limiting myself to historical accuracy since it hasn't been made for any sort of re-enactment or prop purposes so there's no need. Plus videos like this are designed to give people ideas and a general idea of how things go together, there is nothing to stop people making items however they choose.

Don't sweat it, it looks great and I'm digging the faster format of the videos. I also liked the longer ones but the short ones get straight to the point.
