Have you considered putting an Armature into your critters? If you make a lineing then you can sew in magnets squeakers, fidget toys and more. Then the outer fabric will hide all of the kinetic bits. think Armatures should be much more common in soft toys. Right now I'm working on designing a crochet frog with a retractable tounge.

@@maddiesweirdworld the plastic ones are good for gentle play. Aka for adults who love toys with movement and hug their critters when watching tv or sleeping with them at night or love a functional decor item/pillow. But they're not made for hard play and kids who really love taking their critters everywhere. (Too much dangling by a limb or head can end in disaster. Plastic Safety joints can and do pop off from the critter. Then they are a pain to rejoin. You need soft tail end joints or a washer, bolt, screw and seal off system for a limited range of movement. Plus in both of these options you'll need a lining to hide them inside the critter. Or they will look bad and everyone can tell that they are present holding the critter together.
