Making a Mechanical Whale - Kinetic Sculpture

This video shows the making of a mechanical whale made from wood.
The whale is made from a piece of basswood, the frame and waves are made from a mystery piece of wood I had laying around my shop. If you know what type of wood it is leave a comment.
