Looks like you did a nice job. The only thing I would have done differently would be to have the handle Latch the other directions, so the way to the handle keeps it closed.

@@DreDurezza You seem to be doing ok. One thing I never do and that's use an ashcan to serve as the air inlet. After a while, the ash build up prevents it being closed properly, more often than not even after a couple. Take care!

Andre T. Kemp if you ever come across an old oven, you might be able to use the glass out of it. Pretty sure most of them have the pyran glass that can be cut with a glass cutter. You won’t be able to cut any tempered glass, and I don’t think tempered will be able to handle the heat either. Enjoying your vids man, very entertaining 👍

This came out very nice! I notice when you were welding you were using a rod and spool torch. May I ask why? I'm just learning how to weld myself and your welds came out beautifully! By the way, I love the 1990'2 Duran Duran hair cut, lol. PS- They sell mini clamps, like the larger spring clamps and you can get 10 for $ 1.50. I use them for when I spread out my drop cloth when I am spray painting. They would be perfect at the top of your wall.

Hey! Thanks for the comment. The welding process I'm using here is TIG welding. It's sometimes referred to as TAGS or GTAW, depending on your location. No spool torch used, just a standard "button" TIG set up for steel. I'm thrilled you liked the video and took the time to comment etc Thanks for the kind words about my hair! I get mixed reviews 😂

@@DreDurezza Hey, all that matters is that you like your hair! I went for 1-1/2 yrs without cutting it and I'm at that point in my life my hair is greying and several people thought it looked nice long, but I hated it! It was hot and in a ponytail 98% of the time. I finally went and had it cut short and styled and I love it now. Those same people who said they liked it long and grey, didn't even acknowledge the difference, lol. Damn, it's my hair! Take care!

so where does the air enter the stove? I see no air inlet vent...using the ash door is just going to make it messy, allow ash to blow out and allow hot embers to burn your van down.

I am not sure where to get a glass for a stove this small but if you build a larger version you might consider repurposing a glass from a self-cleaning cooking oven. God bless you and remember Jesus Christ is the only way to eternal life.

Repurposing some heat resistance glass from an old oven is actually a fantastic idea! I'll be sure to consider that for the next one. Thank you for the comment and support! The well-wishes mean a lot too :) I hope you're safe and well
@markrainford12193 жыл бұрын
Look on ebay. There are companies that do cut-to-size and any shape from 50mm square up. Not expensive either. Bear in mind if you do re-purpose oven glass that it cannot be cut.
@DreDurezza3 жыл бұрын
@@markrainford1219 that’s a good idea 💡 cheers, man. Why can’t the oven glass be cut? 😅
@markrainford12193 жыл бұрын
@@DreDurezza Oven glass is generally tempered (heat treated after cutting) and will shatter when you score it. Robert mentioned self cleaning oven glass, which would have to withstand +300c for a while. Not sure if that would be ceramic glass, the type used in wood stoves, or not. I've tried to 'adjust' a piece of tempered glass in the past, only for it to explode two hours later. So just be wary. Cheers.

sorry but far away from a success,10/10 for effort but that thing is a death trap in any enclosed space for a start its not gas tight,that dies down to a smoulder your admitting noting but toxins unburnt gases etc no seal on the door,yes it might be a tight shut,but nasty fumes can get through the smallest of holes/gaps it needs a baffle plate and some kind of secondary burn(look that up) no need for an ash tray "wood burns best on a bed of ash" air needs to flow over wood not underneath it(thats coal) its a neat little design,but it throws out a lot of danger,oh,and have a carbon monoxide monitor/ alarm close by
