I once did the Mario plant, mostly out of paper mashe ..mache? Paper glue water mix ... And there was a thick wire in the stem, yet the head was too heavy and the plant always looked to the ground in a defeated manner. It was still cute tho

You won't always like how every project turns out. What matters is that you learn and understand why you don't like it, what went wrong, what you could have done, and what you would change going forward. Don't let it get you down. You are still learning, and I know that it will only get better!

I can see what you mean about what you would change and wished for. Regardless, I think it’s fantastic. And I _LOVE_ that you’re embracing it! I just learned to do that myself recently, as I’m experimenting with using watercolors. We’re genuinely figuring it out as we go, and while we can see where it could have gone better and why, we can still be satisfied with the end product because it serves as a bookmark of our progress 😊 My constructive critique would be to have added some pink in the tunnel, to break it up and mimic the movie even more, perhaps add a touch more of white to combat the natural shadows, too. I think the way you did the wall could have been improved by adding walls and a ceiling in a fake way, not fully like the Chucky film frame but flatter to help draw the eye down towards the door. I really do think that’s all that would be needed and leaving it a 2d effect would enhance the depth of the tunnel! That said, I’m not recommending you go back to change it because it’s awesome and I love it and you should be proud!! Once again, I’m IN LOVE with your textures, you make it look so effortless to mimic and the wallpaper is CLEAN (even it dirt, in an ironic way)! 💌

@@midnighthobbies3220 I only dared to give constructive feedback, because for me, people saying they love something I made while entirely ignoring all the aspects that could be better makes me feel like they aren't actually seeing my creation as it actually is, and their praise feels a little more shallow. Every project is a learning process, my friend. Still a blast to watch the creative process. One thing that I think may have helped with your lighting and depth could've been a single led light near the middle to back of the rings, set down beneath the edge of the rings. Could've added some pop to the overall dynamic of the tunnel. Overall, though, I love the homage to a great, creepy story. God bless.
@midnighthobbies3220

A learning process indeed, and would take that instead of smooth sailing any day. And thanks for the suggestion! I did contemplate lights at one point but thought it might’ve brought out the lesser qualities of the tunnel haha. Thanks as always :)

I did contemplate lights and or mirrors originally for the tunnel, but I guess in retrospect the lights may have just highlighted the unnatural texture of the tunnel haha. But love the suggestion, thank you! :D

Once again, not sure what the voice at the end was, but it did say "wHaT aRe YoU??" Anyways, this looked really nice! From the thumbnail, I genuinely thought you used tissue paper to line the tunnel, so it definitely worked on me XD Take care, & I can't wait to see what you could possibly be hinting towards next! Also, in terms of crafts that have gone awry... I had once tried making a Fallout 4 Pip-Boy out of styrofoam gas station soda cups. They had the right shape for the cuff, so I decided to go for it. It was going well until I got to 1. Creating the latch, & 2. Applying paper maché. The plan was to make the latch, apply paper maché, & paint it. The cool part was that the little dongle on the back was able to detach, & there was also a hidden slot to slide my phone in to use the Pip-Boy app. However, the latch was too flimsy with the amount of sections it had, so I sacrificed one section to make a slightly less flimsy (but still very flimsy & fragile) latch. The final mistake was the paper maché. I tried using the grocery store advert we would get in the mail as the paper maché paper, & it just created a hard to apply, easy to peel outter layer. I eventually gave up & never touched it again until it eventually was destroyed as if the nuclear fallout actually got to it. Tbh I wanna make it again, but with proper reference with a Spirit Halloween Pip-Boy (once I can get one) & more time/experience to work from.
