in houston ione of our favorite spots was just like this except it was stairs instead of a ramp. we didnt know about rub bricks and wax etc.. though. we would have been doing it if we did im so hyped on this

What did you use as a sealer?

Behr brand wet look concrete sealer. Big jug for like $35 at most hardware stores, should last a long time

can you reapply lacquer or concrete sealer to a ledge thats already skateable and has marks on them or no? do u recommend taking off the wax before applying that stuff? what happens if you apply the spray to an already waxed ledge?

Yeah, I'd like to hear thoughts on this too. Was in the middle of treating a ledge (applying lacquer, then wax. And then letting it dry out to then reapply. Trying to get a build up of lacquer), and this guy shows up out of nowhere, and proceeds to wax it to hell. Even now though it's wearing out. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to redo it.

I think you’d be better off getting as much existing wax off as you can, the sealer would likely just sit on top of it and not soak into the concrete. Lacquer goes over wax just fine in my experience though.

Nice job on the ledge. And that slappy spot looks nice. A local parking lot has curbs like that, but a little too in the open and the whole lot is sloped pretty decently

Yeah you’d think finding a curb spot would be easy but there’s a lot of things to consider, car and foot traffic, business hours if it’s in a retail area, ground quality, curb quality, hills, lighting. When you do find one though it’s the best getting it going from scratch
