Making a Pendant From Home-Made Plywood

I made this pendant for my lovely partner's birthday, but it could also be a perfect Valentines gift.
First I made some plywood (or rather lamination, because the grain runs all in one direction) from thin walnut and ash strips, then I cut it and glued it back to get a nice chevron pattern.
I finished it with 4 coats of water-based polyurethane.
