My first stereo VHS was a Sanyo with individual sliders for left and right audio and had a vu metre too ace bit of kit

@@MatthewNorthMusic - nice one- this is my 6th VCR and the most exciting recording-wise. Still have a topend one still sealed in it's box ( sad i know). Cannot find anything on KZbin about the Nokia though.

Really nice video. You can certainly get away without having the drop-compensator offered by the Sony C9 and other Sony decks of the day. I've repaired quite a few of these now and own a PCM-501 which is great to use and archive from.

you know what a adat recorder is that starts recording later in the tape to get over tape wear started using dvcam tapes as i have been picking them at low prices i have some sony 701 es units i do re use new sealed betacam tapes that a save from the skips alot of the studio's are binning them still alot there sealed new tapes

hi have a sony es 701 with a betacam sp i all 6 audio channels i picked up a pallet of betacam deck wow is the word they sound so good a mate had this from the fee ad along time ago 14bit i think it was you can copy video to a dvd and play video in the deck still would work dvd would be more space

@@MatthewNorthMusic yup its probably alot money but your method is same it seems but are you sure its still saving to 📼 as digital or is vhs output actually analog but your pc capture makes it digital?

@@MatthewNorthMusic I think the MPEG Compression would introduce all sorts of errors. I can see the idea behind trying it, but also why it wouldn’t work.

Hey Matthew, is it possible to hook up an Audio Cassette Tape Player line out to the Sony PCM-F1 and Convert Songs from the Cassette to Digital?

Not really how it works. It takes audio digitise it and turns it into a video signal then does the same in reverse you can input any sound source and output the audio to any device

It's stereo hifi but makes no difference in this experiment
