8:00 actually having that bar shorter will cause the front wheels to toe out. The little corner pipes attaching that bar to the wheels (or better yet, the setting of the motor, maybe have an extra gear that’s a different size) is what you change. Do not change that specific bar. It’s too small of a scale to get the toe just right. For those of you who don’t know what toe is, it’s how much the tires are pointing outwards on a horizontal plane. Toe out means the front of the wheels will point out and toe in is the opposite.

And where did you find the chassis?
@deftknight74183 жыл бұрын
Dude! How is this hobby not mainstream! Love the content. Side note, Not a profetional tuner, but I don't think you want so much to out (10:08 for reference). For refernce, toe is the angle that the tires point at if you draw a line from the middle to the most forward part (if it's right side up) of the tire. Toe out IS good in most cases, (makes the car like going straight, but also causes the tire on the inside of a turning circle to drag) but that's a crazy amount. 12 degrees as a really crappy guess? The stuff I tune in racing games normally has maybe around one degree? Again, really rough. now, you said you shortend the steering rack to get more angle, which isn't stupid by any means, it works, but it causes this excessive toe effect. If you like how they feel regaurdless, great, I can imagine why, but I think there is a better shape for your rack that will allow you to run whatever toe angle you want and get as much angle as you want. I would suggest running a U-shape. Go up of the connecting pins like you would normally, but then go rear-ward on both sides for a little bit, it doesn't need to be crazy, then across. if you need to hook it to a servo thats right inbeteween the front wheels, then make more of a W-shape to go in and meet it. I have no clue if this would be really hard or not, because of the scale, but with the shapes I've seen you make for this, It should be terrable. If you want ideas on how to get more toe, or steering angle, shorter side to side length gives you more toe, longer front to rear should give it more angle.
@TLSGarage3 жыл бұрын
The excessive toe out is a necessity on this in order to get an electromagnet steering setup to have enough angle to pull out of a drift. Check out my AE86 build if you want to see something more realistic💯
@deftknight74183 жыл бұрын
@@TLSGarage, That makes sense. I guess the strength of just magnets isn't strong enough. Also, I just didn't know your knowlagability on this, so that's why I explained it so heavily. Sorry if it felt rude, just suggestions.
