My first attempt at a making a water feature. No great prize winner but I think it came out okay and I learned a bit - so that at least is progress. Thanks for watching

Rick, that turned out beautifully! The vegetation around it ties the whole thing together. Very very nicely done. 👏👏 Sean

Terrific work, Rick. I like it. Cool added rocks in and outside the pond. Just need Sheriff Taylor and Opie getting ready for fishing. I got the whistling going for ya. 😀

Good stuff, Rick. Came out pretty well, and there are still things oyu can do to the top level if you decide you want expand it. Water scenics are definitely one of the trickier bits in the hobby, and it came out nicely.

I think it looks great . Just getting ready to pour my pond and a bigger lake . But I had just painted bottom and sides as you did , But woodland senics says to use plaster cloth first . Did you have any problems not using plaster cloth ? Am going to use Realistic water also .

Hi Steve. Thanks for watching a good luck with your project. I did have a problem (see my video titled "Ripping out the pond" kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6rJZYl9jLiEoKs But I think my problem was due to the paint I mixed into the realistic water not being compatible with the RW. I know lots of people have had great success with the product and I am not blaming it for what happened, just a lesson learned. Thanks again.

@@TheSwitchListThanks for the response . Has the pond been good since then ? I have a small pond and a larger lake that I already painted and added rocks weeds trees , etc. Sure hate to take it all out , but guess I should put the spackeling in and then repaint it . I use an acrylic paint .
@TheSwitchList6 ай бұрын
@stevetandysr.2816 the pond has been fine since I redid it, but I used two part epoxy resin the second time. But I think my Realistic water problem was the acrylic paint I painted on to the first layer (maybe it was not dry enough) before pouring the second layer. I am pretty sure the problem I had was something I did wrong. Good luck

@@TheSwitchList it did not dry clear. May have added too many layers. Will try realistic water the next time.
