Absolutely outstanding! As a long time fan, I have grown used to watching your work. Thank you for sharing.

First, this gentleman is a true craftsman. Many of his techniques cannot just be picked up by reading a book or watching a video, this is countless hours of trial and error, learning as you go, acquiring a large variety of tooling, fixtures and jigs not to mention that he is working in one heck of a home shop complete with multi axis CNC equipment. If the goal was to make the most elegant, intricate, ornate, precise and incredibly detailed pieces of art, well he succeeded. My only question is how to find out when his schedule will allow for the creation of a cue for me. Great video and great work, very impressive.
@curtisbarbarapowers80953 ай бұрын
Your attention span and pedantic approach to everything you so is incredible. You justify the investment in equipment that would be wasted on me since I was born sans patience and with attention deficit disorder. Your cues are masterpieces.

As always , top notch work . I don’t make pool cues . I am however a maker with OCD like yourself . Any tiny flaws are unacceptable. It’s a gift and a curse . Most people wouldn’t even notice what we would consider a flaw and yet we are willing to scrap hours of work in pursuit of perfection. Nice job Eddie , another beautiful set of cues !

Just exquisite pieces of functional art. My god, I had no idea what this kind of craftsmanship entailed. Inlays inside of inlays. Insanely beautiful! I’ve done all sorts of wood craft with exotic hardwoods but never tried to build a pool cue and I’ve been playing pool since I could barely walk. Every time I looked at a really nice pool cue, I wondered how the hell they built this?! Thanks to this video, I know the points aren’t just thin inlays but structural as well. Amazing work! Just subscribed. The only time I ever worked on a pool cue was one my friend won from a guy at a bar we played at. It was a Mali from the Philippines and really nice, except the shaft was dented pretty badly like some kid spent the day whacking a sharp corner with it. My buddy asked if I could fix it. Make it new again. I said, “Yep, I can steam out the dents and refinish it no problem.” He wasn’t in any rush since he had a bunch of cues so I took my time, steamed out the dents with an iron and wet rag, letting the dents become hills I’d sand off after a drying time. My buddy called me a couple weeks later and asked how the progress on the cue was coming along? I wasn’t charging anything for the work, but all of a sudden he’s in a rush! “Come on man, I need that cue back. I want to use it in a tournament next week. I need to practice with it.” So whatever, the cue was ready for finish and I finished it that day. Wondering why my friend was being such a prick all of a sudden? I brought the cue over to his apartment and he looked at it. “Nice work man! Can’t even tell where all the dents were. Took you long enough. Isn’t it your birthday tomorrow?” I looked at my watch and nodded, “Guess so, I stopped paying attention to that day in my 30’s. Why?” He laughed and handed me the cue. “Happy Birthday mofo!” That was the coolest birthday present I ever got. And I had work on it first.

Omg I’m amazed at your talent. Your videos are so relaxing and satisfying to watch. Your attention to minute detail is incredible. I don’t know which cue I like more! I predict that one day you will be one of the most sought after cue makers in the world. Your cues are pure perfection! Wish I could afford one.

What is a comparable cue name brand to these? Also what would be an average price for a cue of this caliber??
@billeverett40903 ай бұрын
Beautiful work as always! I’m confused by the challenges of getting tulipwood though. I know nothing about it other than the Olhausen pool table I have said it was made out of it (and I just looked, it’s still being sold). I’d think that getting blanks wouldn’t be an issue if they could really make a (relatively affordable table) out of it. On the other hand, why would they claim to be using a wood most people don’t know anything about (then charge more for Cherry etc)?

Subscribed! Still looking for that window cue that looks 3d with stars and galaxies in my windows. Or like you're looking into a window or inside the cue. With pretty basic woods for the rest. I do like the look of some tulip wood. Or any woods similar to some to the old rat cues. Those were cool and looked pretty basic or biblical'ish. Oh, some killer spalted maple wood with black windows would help give that look.
