To answer your question, wrapping thin wire around your wire armature helps give the clay (and wool) something to grab onto. Otherwise you might find that the clay spins loosely around the main wires. You can also buy eraseable markers from sewing supply stores, which use either heat or water to remove. :) Keep it up, you did well!

I LOVE this idea! I've have all the items I need to make myself a polymer clay figure, butnever would have thought to use wool for the torso, arms, and legs, and only use polymer clay for the head, hands, and feet, (and in your case, a tail!) What an epic piece of work, she came out beautifully and the clothes were so well made. I haven't made dolls clothes since my children were small! I shall have to watch this video again to learn how you did it. Thank you so much for sharing this experience with us. Have a great week!

She turned out so cute! I really love the outfit you made for her- the little strawberries on the overalls are just adorable. Great job! Also, I used to do needle felting, and I never would have thought to just trim off the extra fluff with scissors! It seems like a great trick to get a sleeker end result, and I'll have to keep it mind if I ever pick needle felting back up.

THIS IS EXTREMELY CUTE QJDJWJ quick question tho, what kind of glue do you use to make sure the head and feet stay in the right place? or how are they attached to the wire?
@Kutiesart.13 күн бұрын

Do you have an idea on how i can change the needle felting part? like using another tecnique
@Kutiesart.6 ай бұрын
I've seen various other methods such as sewing a body and filling it with cotton stuffing. Wrapping quilt batting around then wrapping it again with foam underwrap. Wrapping with quilt batting then sewing a fake fur fabric over it. The technique you go for will depend largely on if you want the body to match color wise and if it will be showing some or covered completely by clothes. This was the easiest no-sew method, that i know of, to match the colors so i can make her outfits that don't cover all of her body.

She's so cute! Did you bake the polymer clay after attaching it all to the wire, or before?
@Kutiesart.8 ай бұрын
Thank you :) I baked it before so i could stand the pieces upright in the oven since the heat will flatten curved areas and details if they are touching the pan.

@@Kutiesart. Ah okay, thanks for answering! I've never used polymer clay, but this makes me want to try it out.
