Beautiful work and a lot of patience. Give a hatchet a try, you can get very close to finishing dimensions with just a hatchet and then clean up with the plane.

Might just copy that sheath. Except I got some deer legs in the freezer Going to use tendons to tighten the leather on thoes cuts in the wood just to really secure it on.

A hatchet might have made a much quicker job of roughing the wooden part to your lines than that japanese plane.

Yes, the wood has cured for over a year, it is dry.

hi you have done a good work but .. it looks like a guillotine for fingers it would be better if made the slot narrower . i love your job
