Slowly but surely. We expected the Meadow House to take a year. It took two!

Beautiful! We took some shutters off the front of our board and batten house to paint and realized the birds were using them to nest. So we stopped where ever there were nesting until they left. Your trellis idea suggested nesting boxes to me before you mentioned birds.. Also, we have a low slope roof and were advised NOT to put on gutters. We were told that with a low slope roof, the gutters can increase winter damage with ice and snow dams. Can't tell the slope of your roof but mention it just in case. (We live in Madison County NY so similar winter concerns.)

The colours on the house are a great combo, nice and soft. It also seems to adhere to the 60-30-10 rule and has a nice balance to it😄

How exciting! I love the colors of the house...deep green with barn red accents. What a transformation from the original house. The porch railings as an addition brings character to the porch...I can visualize some rail planters on each side of the rails...with cascading vine plants. I agree about the plant box in the back being the same color of the house. The natural cedar would have stood out and compete with any plantings in the box, against the house. It's better that it'll blend in. Sander is meticulous and does very good work. :)

Great video's👍 Keep in mind that wet soil freezes in winter and expands. It may bow or pop the sides of your planter off even with braces. I hope Joey(Crime Pays..) visited you while he was in the area.

Why not leave gutters off and install underground catchment and storage for use as irrigation water? Or use foundation landscaping that absorbs the water that runs off the roof?
