The vertical cylinder body shape on mechs always reminds me of naval anti-air defense systems, so chucking that on crab legs is always cool imo. Reminds me of the bots in the tunnel scene at the end of Patlabor 2, or the mech from "A farewell to weapons" in Short Peace.

This bot gave me an idea for something similar, a crab bot that comes to the battlefield afterwards to collect all the scrap it can find. The flickering lights would be the self contained nuclear furnace for melting down scrap metal and the tower shape of the body would be to house the cooling rods and heat exchangers. There might be two hydraulic shears like claws on front mounted arms to pick up and slice large pieces of metal. These bots would live on distant planets where trade is not consistent, so any tech is necessarily of value and everything has to be recycled 100%.

It's shape reminds me of a virus, so hacking seems vi very fitting! 👌

Superb build CTG. You're doing all those fascinating things you do, as always, to create unique ships/machines. I think tho' you should paint this bad boy to look like its part of the same company as the S.A.P.O. machine. Your own 'Wayland/Yutani' perhaps?!

I love your work so much, and your builds are very inspiring. Out of curiosity, we get to see a 9-minute video from start to finish, but how long would a build like this take without editing? The reason I ask is that I'm working on a small spaceship, and after several weeks, I'm still adding components to it. Another question: Is there money to be made by selling your creations? It would be very helpful to me if I can sell some of my items so I can purchase more things to keep me going in this hobby. Thank you so much for your time, and I look forward to your input!

Rather than trying having to print all the legs for a crab, why not consider a fully automated off world decapod fattening facility. Like a replicator but for seafood!
