CANDYMANE Yes idiot. Thank our large military for your safety. You don’t have to ever worry about missiles landing on your house because of our brave service members. If you don’t like it by all means go to Syria, Israel, or any country bordering North Korea. Ask their citizens if they wouldn’t mind having a large military so they can sleep soundly at night. Fact is if we ever needed manpower to fight a war you’d be the last in line. Sad.

@RhettyforHistory6 жыл бұрын
@@leograndthio5074 It was more like that. If you didn't make your rack or your locker area was not squared away your stuff was yanked out in the middle of the compartment. If too many people had done that then they did what was called abandoned ship. That meant you closed all the windows to the barracks, moved the racks to the side of the compartment, rolled down your sleeves and buttoned your collar all the way up. There was no air conditioning in the barracks back then. So you were PT'd until everyone's uniformed was completely wet from sweat and then went beyond. They called it make it rain which meant the sweat had to build up on the ceiling and drip down before we stopped. Might be old school Navy I'm not sure but it was more intense than what I've seen so far.

No i mean getting off of the bus privates already be getting folded and doing multiple sets of push ups after almost falling asleep. Then we have drill sargents throwing luggages into puddles and putting hands on the new privates.

Fond memories of boot camp! I would stay up for an extra hour doing pushups next to my rack, so I knew I could do more than EM-1 Lopez could put me down for. Haha, turned me into a man for sure, knowing I could do what ever was thrown at me. It really does become a life changing thing, for which I will always be proud of, thanks to the USN!

The remark made at the 6:50 spot is what our CC's pounded into us. "Look, people. YOU are the ones that are going to be taking our spots out there! YOU are our replacements! That's why WE have to send a good product out that gate!" Well, needless to say, and I saw it in "A" School and in the fleet, some were and some weren't. One CC told us that within a year, 1/4 of us would wind up getting sent to Captain's Mast for something. And sadly, he was right. I saw guys in "A" School and in the fleet. Fined, on restriction, some got OTH'd.

I remember chief Kalaw. He tormented us since we were an 800 div and used to sneak in at night through the laundry room. He would threaten to ASMO all of us and we even called him “Chief ASMO” because he said he would “ASMO us back to birth” when he would walk out we would laugh our asses off it was so funny. And at @7:15 that was my RDC.

At the 4:08 mark, the recruits are sending their civilian clothes back home or either donating it to charity. When I went through it, we put it in clear plastic bags and kept a ticket which we would turn back in the day before our departure. Simple enough. However, I read on another post that this was stopped because some of the recruits found out where there gear was stored and had been either breaking in or attempting to break in and steal it and go UA.
