Shooting a short film on 16mm film in rural Montana. Welcome to Day 1 of our four-day shoot on 16mm! 🎥
This film is a period short funded by the Big Sky Montana Film grant, and we raised more funds to shoot this on 16mm film. It's a dream come true for us.
We start the marathon and we are faced with more problems that any film would want to see, one of which that involves a car... and a bit Spoiler alert: when they say, "Anything can happen on set," they really mean it!
Follow us along this vlog series If you've ever wondered what it's like to create a short film on analog film, 16mm in our case. Don't forget comment, and subscribe so you can follow the rest of our journey. Day 2 is just around the corner... hopefully, with fewer surprises!
Ans go give my brother Alex a sub! ‪@alex_browning‬

Thank you soooo much for this BTS mate. As an aspiring film director these are extremely helpful and reassuring. It’s quite rare to find BTS that humble and worthy. Thanks mate.

Always start day one with a manageable schedule so it's easy to make your day, get off to a good start and people are feeling good.

Looks like a pretty professional set-up - cast and crew. Reminds me of my first real effort on a short. Films great cause it forces you to plan better and roll with the punches that life gives you. Plus it looks like a real movie when your done, not like a corporate video.

Very cool video to see creators going for film and jumping right in! I wish more people would document the process for the indie folks. Can't wait to watch more! And to save a little film, don't roll camera until after you've called the slate. You've got the slate call on audio, then all you need on the film is a second or two to see the slate info and see it close.

Now this is what I'm talking about! This is the sort of thing I wish I could have been watching growing up, a more useful and helpful behind the scenes that truly lets me GO behind the scenes

inspirational, as cheesy as that is. Whats better than watching humans invested in art? Makes me yearn to create. Cheers

If you're shooting film, ti's always a good idea to have some super speed lenses on hand. T1.2 is possible.
