Great to see the behind the scenes of this. Wondered how you did the moon, and the small sparks really added to the shot, would not have thought of that. That omni charger hack is genius! The glitch effect was really effective. I want to pinch, I mean be inspired, by that 😂 Really appreciate you saying more about your sound design, it’s something that seems to be overlooked sometimes with film makers on KZbin. Premiere pro and Davinci Resolve! Danvinci was for the first pass, and then I applied a LUT over everything to create an overall "look" in premiere. Not the traditional way of doing it, but that was the process for this.

I ask because I know isn't the same but I'm friend of a current beauty pageant winner who's gonna compete internationally, and I was shooting a short film with her and there was only one scene left, but I was told not by her but by his modelling coach (who also is a friend of mine) that because she won, she now has to charge for everything, she no longer can put her face in stuff without consulting 😕 and that's because the company, not by her, so I wonder if I talk to her privately to finish her scenes. And also I'm friends with the sister of a famous actress and I want to put the sister in a movie (paid job but very low budget) but I wonder if I have to talk to her representation

I realize this came out 4 months ago, but I have to make a comment on the lens. I have that same lens and am going ot be doing a shor tmyself with it, but I noticed you said it was used for the film, but I noticed you used a sigma on the water shot, I want to ask what shots you used it for, and if I'm correct, it was likely the night shots, because of the low, low, low apperature settings? Thanks for making some cool stuff. I love the Chat GPT short too I a doing the same. Now to track down some talent.

So your camera was free and your sound equipment was free and your film was free and the computer you did your editing on was free and the program that you used to do your editing was free is that what you're saying? Unless you understand that all those are included in a budget that you're not a real filmmaker. SMH

This is HIGHLY irresponsible and terrible advice, if you have "no or low budget" do not, under ANY circumstances do something with live fire. Private property or not. Just because he says "we did it safely" doesn't mean anything. When fire is involved, there needs to be a fire marshal on set, safety protocol after safety protocol in place in case of emergency, insurance. ALL of which cost a lot of money are completely necessary. And if you try to retcon this video by saying those requirements were abided by, then PUT IT IN THE VIDEO. This is meant to be educational, and you need to lead by example, this shit needs to be drilled into young filmmakers heads, it's NOT OK to just wing it when dangerous items are involved, prop guns, weapons of ANY kind, Fire. Who was the stunt or saftey coordinator for that scene? I really hope this doesn't inspire indy filmmakers to try something this stupid, this is beyond dangerous and could injure the actors, the crew, property, nature. Just don't do it, not unless you have the funds and the support to do it correctly.

@@kehindea that's not how the industry works buddy, hes working with a SAG-AFTRA actor trying to teach people how to run a no-budget-low budget set, there are rules that need to be followed. This remains terrible advice.
