Making a Spooky Historical Barbie Costume; Haunted Beauty Barbie

Come on a spooky adventure with me while I stitch up a real life version of the Haunted Beauty Barbie Mistress of the Manor. This gorgeous full size costume is inspired by the 1890s and gives major Crimson Peak vibes. This three piece costume was a joy and a challenge to make, and the perfect conclusion to my favorite season of the year.

Omg. I just noticed that the candles match the black lace on the bodice and so does the brooch. A perfect dress (even if it's purple) that is perfectly accessorized! PS The camera movement in a clip towards the end where it pans to the sky is a nice touch

I think a more purple-lavender lip might have upped the spook factor of your outfit but I’d give it an A- since I’m a sewist & designer myself (BS Design, Drexel University) but I’d have liked to explore a higher ruffle (historical accuracy vs. aesthetics & tempered by fabric scarcity) if given the chance. Bravo!

The purple satin gown looks really nice. The bodice and skirt I believe are not from the same time period. The skirt could be representative of the 1850s-60s and the bodice with those sleeves 40 years later. Please correct me if i'm wrong. But it's a nice gown and I would love to wear it.
