The conversation about Sony installing viruses as a form of anti-piracy/copy-protection reminded me that Phillips threatened lawsuits a couple decades ago over anyone putting copy-protection on CDs on the grounds of it modifying the format, that they hold the patent for, to greatly to qualify as being within their view of acceptable standards to be considered as "a CD."

The patent trolling can be stopped by filing a patent dispute with the patent office claiming that the patent is invalid. It would be best to talk to a patent lawyer to help write the patent dispute properly to show cause why the patent should be invalidated.

I think a lot of people hate Sony for many reasons. One reason I specifically hate them for is the marvel trade. They have the rights to venom, and Disney has the Rights to almost everything else. So Disney can't put venom in their movies. Granted, I don't like Disney owning everything either, but venom is an important part of spider man and we need him in the mcu. Alongside the fantastic four and the xmen.

wrong about cross platform gaming btw. They were all for it while xbox wasn't for the entirety of the ps3/360 era. Whichever company between xbox and playstation is in the lead is the one who is against crossplay as they have nothing to gain from it and everything to lose.
