Fantastic Design. The smell, colour and texture of the Walnut wood gives it a unique design, something you can't get with synthetic wood. Unique Design and Craftsmanship, plus I love the idea that its on original design, not commercialised like you see in furniture shops. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas in this video!

Really great stuff. Any videos that show how you flatten your panels?
@gregoryraiewski5 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Michael. I appreciate it. I think flat panels come down to good milling practices, both on the faces and edges. All I do after the clamps is sand. It's worth going over in depth though, for sure. I'll have to film something about it on my next build.

I like your work mate. Very precise and clean. Are you a qualified cabinet maker/joiner?
@Latinsweetkeylana3 жыл бұрын
Love your work it is Absolutely beautiful & precise.. Do you make these buffet tables for anyone? Also do you use maple wood on everything you build? I been trying to find one that is 50 inches long, 34 inches in height and 14 7/8 wide with tapered legs, 3 doors & 3 drawers with shelves.. and can never find one so I gave up.. If you do make these for customers what do you charge to make one?

@ykmjc4 жыл бұрын
are you not concerned about expansion on your side panels, being all mortised in with dominoes?
@gregoryraiewski4 жыл бұрын
All of the grain is facing the direction - just like a mitered box, for example. This includes the cabinet and drawer dividers. In other words, there is no perpendicular grain intersecting.

@gregoryraiewski5 жыл бұрын
Thank you Jason! I'm learning as I go, both in woodworking and video editing. I'll keep that in mind with my next coffee table video since it has a lot more intricate parts and joinery that would probably benefit from some added explanation. I just wanted to get this video out since it had been a few months since my last one.

that's absolutely a beauty. I love that walnut. what type of finishing did you apply? roubio?
@gregoryraiewski5 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! It was a great batch of walnut and it is such a pleasure to work with. I used Rubio Monocoat "Pure." The one coat application was nice, but it is a fairly expensive product. That said, it cured very nicely!

@jontaylor84472 жыл бұрын
Do you think that oiled walnut will ever be out of style or tacky? We look at some pieces that were incredibly popular in their time and now see them and think they're ugly. I hope that never happens to simple walnut furniture.
