That is the most Beautiful Whimsical LANTERN NerdForge, each of the flame looks that if it's representing the elements like your spell books (Still hope to see some Spell casting pages) Purple - Spirit - Storm Red - Fire - Amber Blue - Water - Ice White - Air Any luck finding a new Potion idea? keep up the great work. :)

Hey Nerdforge! Regular Worbla user here! If you heat the worbla just slightly (not enough that it's soft and floppy, but just until it's warm) it's WAY easier to cut with a box-cutter! It also helps if you sandwich craft foam between two pieces of worbla. That way it's a lot studier and holds its shape better :)

My favorite discovery was when I found out that Wallmart carries solar powered garden lights for just a couple of bucks. Sometimes I can find them for a dollar. I have garden light guts hanging out all over my workspace; sitting on window sills, bookshelves, next to sculptures... just collecting dust and casting spooky light all night. I like your lamp so much, I might just have to take your idea and put my spin on it!

Quick tip, to remove bubbles from a freshly painted surface (be it glue, paint, or any other single-layer applied liquid material) simply fun a flame over it after you have applied a fresh wet layer. The heat makes the air in the bubble expand and pop. I use a butane kitchen torch for my projects, the butane is smoke free and it only takes one pass! =)

Nerdforge placing the Arduino inside the tube is really clever, you should have shown that 😉 How do you transform from 230V AC to 5V DC though? Temporary supply for the video? Wall adapter? when you get invited into a wizards tower and admire the aesthetic. when Kvothe shows off for master Kilvin. when the chandrian are in town. when the headmaster of a school of witchcraft and wizardry calmly shout at you about if you put your name in the lantern of fire!!!???

You can buy plexiglass that's already frosted, which defuses light pretty nicely. If you can't find that, you can buy window cling that is frosted, cut it to shape, peel the backing off and stick it to the plexiglass or real glass for a frosted effect.

I'd love to see a breakdown of exactly how you did the acrylic glass panes, like how you applied the spray paint and when you applied the glue, etc.
