id love to try to do this, i regularly carve walking sticks and staffs. i got myself some good quality chisels and gouges but i can never get them sharp i must be doing something wrong, i think i have the skill to give carving a good go, but my lack of skill in sharpening my tools prevents me from trying

I want to get into carving but I’m also on a very small budget, what should I buy in terms of tools? Plz help.

@@strandofeternity I recommend purchasing only two gouges. A C-shaped one of the size that suits you depending on the size of the project. And a flat gouge. You can also find cheap gouge sets on Amazon but I don't recommend it because they are of very poor quality. Look in the video description. You will find links to the Beavercraft store which offers individual gouges.
