Cool little scrap wood project. To bad I didn’t know about making those when my grandkids were little it would have been a great thing to send them home with. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for tuning in Paul. Maybe your grandkids would still like to have them now. ;)

Awesome idea Ken, think I'll make a couple and mail them to the grandkids. LOL
@acutabove_woodworkings6 жыл бұрын
That's the best thing about these Dale....they are easy and cheap enough to make that you can give them to your grandchildren by the dozen as payback for all the noise your children put you through. LOL. Thanks for tuning in and for the kind words.

All aboard lol, didn’t realise that whistles were made like that mate, was a pleasure to watch the intricacies behind it 🍻👍👍👍

Great project. Is there a type of wood you should use for a whistle since it's going in the mouth?
@acutabove_woodworkings6 жыл бұрын
Any species of wood will be just fine for this project. Thanks for tuning in.

Cool project. I think I would add a small wooden ball inside for a warbler effect.

Never mind, you addressed this at the end.
@acutabove_woodworkings6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words Thomas. I tried this with a wooden bead and due to the distance between the edges of the hole, the bead kept getting caught and it would stop the whistle sound. I am 100% sure that with some playing with the angle of the chamber, in order to shorten the distance between the hole edges, I'm sure that a wooden pea could be added to give that classic sound. Let me know how you make out with yours and if you were able to get the ball to work. Thanks for tuning in.

Thanks for the kind words John. I can't tell you what's next....that would give you the inside scoop and we can't have that now can we? Thanks for tuning in and for taking the time to leave a comment.

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. It seems that the comments section has become the home for jokes and puns these days and that's just fine by me. After all, we are all in this for a little fun. Thanks for tuning in and for taking the time to leave a comment Philip. I appreciate it..

Okay Ken, that settles it....I am going to have to fire my editors and my fact checkers because they are obviously slackers. Considering that I am a one man show, everyone can blame you for the cancellation of the program due to lack of staff. LOL. Thanks for pointing out the mistake Ken. Nice to know that someone is actually listening to me instead of just clicking on the show and clicking off the show. Thanks for tuning in.
