This is actually incredible for elevators because it only moves things that it's attached to when it BEGINS the move (and can be moved at all), but ALL blocks can be used to stop its movement at any floor. This means you could VERY easily make a multi-floor stopper by having a piston push a block in the way of the place you want to stop on, then simply move it back out of the way before starting movement again.

April fools updates make me a little mad that microsoft apparently is interfering so much with development. April fools updates although they have many flaws. You can still tell that mojang team still has a lot of creativity and ideas they just are limited in what they can do.
