You know, You are exactly right. It just hit me when you commented on the editing/timing of these videos. If I get stressed by the manufactured drama of a friend or two, I will turn on one of Kevin's videos and it is like a relaxing drift down a lazy river... and it's not only the content, but the editing/timing of these videos that make it that smooth transition which creates the easy flow. I just love watching Kevin's videos. I feel like I'm visiting an old friend that knows all the ends and outs of entertaining. He knows proper etiquette and that is like a breath of fresh air. @@cathleenvance4441 Indeed. I agree and think they are nearly asmr. I usually find myself slack-jawed watching him cooking those amazing dishes. The editing is a joy to me because so few cooking tutorials have that incredible precision and make them frustrating, having to skip back or sit through lulls in information. But Kevins videos are like clockwork and intuitive. They seem to have a knack for stitching scenes together also, story-boarding in their head, as it were.

Belated birthday Greetings! My eldest son was 47 years old on Christmas Day! You remind me a great deal of him! He loves tea and gracious living, too! When he goes to his office in England, he always brings me different loose teas from Fortnum and Mason! The first year he was away from home he sent me a tea cup with a music box in the base that plays, “Memories”. He is kind and gentle natured as you are! The fireplace vacuum was a great gift idea and appeared to work well cleaning the ash from your fireplace! I hope you and Mr. Fox had a wonderful holiday! Can’t wait until your next video! ❤

Let me share an easy way to make creme fraiche: in a jar (that has a lid) wisk together 1/2 cup heavy cream and 1/2 cup sour cream. Cover with lid and place in a warm place for 12 hours. Stir and refrigerate. Delish on scones with homemade jam - Kevin does strawberry, I make it with the concord grapes in my garden. I love this recipe as I usually have both ingredients on hand and it is such a yummy treat. I hope someone enjoys this :)

I quite agree about freezing scones, especially when having tea for one. I use the smallest cutter, freeze on a baking sheet, store in a freezer bag, and bake in the toaster oven. It’s a great convenience. Also loved your easy Coronation Chicken. I make a variation of it often. Especially when I find shredded chicken at the grocery store. I have been streamlining my recipe for years. Will try adding the sour cream. Thank you for your efforts toward inspiring us to live a more genteel life. These videos take considerable time in the planning, setup and post-production. Many thanks for making it all look easy.

Hi Kevin you are right that It is one of those days where you want to just sit and drink tea or coffee and have a couple of little treats. It's been very gloomy for days and days and now the weather is warming up and it's damp, in the 40s here in Holland Michigan. Today I made bacon cheddar scones... yum. Once they are out of the oven, they get brushed with bacon drippings and pepper and cheddar cheese. They are kind of like savory sweet in a way. Can't wait to test one out. And I cut the scones the same way you cut them straight down. I'm going to see if that makes a difference in how they rise. Thank you for all you do and have a wonderful new year
