Our laser can do thin metals. I used to do copper sculpting, so I'm very familiar with a plasma torch. Things are useful kit.

I think if you make a polymer clay lizard and then make a mold with silicone it would work too. The lizards could be made with resin poured into the mold. 😁😁 just thinking about other options to make this

Why are you don`t use all area of acrill plate for cutting (1:25 - 1:34) but divide the main elements and technological waste?

Hmm why not cut them already "assembled"? Would seem like it would save material.

+Mist8k .... If the lizards are made with colored hot glue & mould it would be easy for more people to make it. Same method could be done with metals. Help me to make mould..!! I don't know how to make mold ?
@CapnHolic8 жыл бұрын
+Shubham Patankar Carve the shape out of wax. Make a silicone/epoxy mold using that as the form. Can use plaster or something as well, but might now hold up as well for multiple castings.

Am I the only one that was annoyed by the setting up of the lazer pattern without tessellating the lizards to reduce waste plastic? I mean they were designed to tessellate anyway surely enough could have been fitted onto the sheet that way?
@Hadron988 жыл бұрын
+Paddy & Jo Actually not. If they had been cut out in the tessellating pattern there would have been a gap between each piece because the laser has to cut away a little bit of acrylic.
@Paddymadeathing8 жыл бұрын
Hadron98 There was a little give in them anyway but yes i guess if they were cutting them slightly larger to reduce that gap that would explain it. Just a gut reaction that thought cutting as matching sheets would have reduced waste
