Jesus went to the Himalayas to study yoga and meditation for his teenage years: change my mind (since I know that’s not in line w the common beliefs of this type- or any type- of Christianity) I could totally see this! The age that a yogi begins apprenticeship traditionally is 12-30, and many of the miracles he performed are similar to what yogis have done for a long time. It does not take away his holiness. It’s just a different way of thinking... and fits in with possibilities.

There is a lot of written information about JESUS teenage years. From 13 to 30 he actually worked with HIS father as a carpenter. The neighbours are evidence because they said isn't HE the son of Joseph who lived amongst us. Then Luke says HE grew up in favour of GOD and man. So there is enough mentioned about HIS youth just not in details and the way we would have liked it.

I have a question. If doing things doesn’t give you everlasting life. Then why do anything at all? Why be kind? Why be generous? Why does it matter? If I just believe in god doesn’t that make me saved?
@anthonyleone32405 жыл бұрын
no because the bible says we are saved by grace through faith. the it also says faith without works is dead so if you don't work for God doing the things he wants then your faith is dead
@thejdog1395 жыл бұрын
Hello, the answer to this question is that when you have repented and believed the Gospel and submitted to God genuinely leaving behind your rebellious ways of depravity. God gives you a new nature and new desires which is referred to regeneration. As Christian's we have been given a new spirit that is one with the spirit of God therefore we think and act like God, we love God and desire to do those things which are morally excellent before him and to our fellow man. If your are not born again you will not desire to any of these things from the heart, you are what the scriptures refer to as totally depraved and being unable to see God you do not love or submit to him from the heart. Therefore those that are blind think that they will be able to work there way to God with there good works instead of trusting in christ alone having seen the perfect and infinite holiness of a Great and Awesome God. Believing in God will not justify you, you need the forgiveness of sins which only come through faith in Christ.

I love rays videos! God blessed him with such a good calm easy to talk to soul. But one thing the Catholic Church doesn’t teach to go do things. Maybe some parishes that are corrupt but I’ve been taught by faith alone. The Catholic Church is the church Jesus started with Peter and his other disciples. But of a misunderstanding of the Christian catholic faith. But the church or even the Catholic Church won’t save you. Only your faith with. The Catholic Church can provide the necessary tools and sacraments that Jesus left for us to help us in our faith but they won’t save us. Catholicism is beautiful and lots of history and treasures of Christ in it. I wish people wouldn’t be so closed off to it. And you can thank the Catholic Church for preserving the scrolls for the Bible and using the Holy Spirit to put it together. Again the church won’t save you only your faith with. The Catholic Church “Jesus’s church” is beautiful dif you understand how it works and how it was formed. I don’t judge anyone for not being catholic cause being catholic won’t save you. But people have such a misunderstanding of Christ’s church and it makes me sad. I love you ray, keep up the awesome videos!!

"You can't have a building without a builder". Ok, but even a builder has a creator (or creators, ie parents). So what caused God's existence? Theists typically point to the complexity of "creation" and from that posit the need of a creator. However this "creator" is also complex. For example, in christianity, God saves people from sins, and in old testament scripture he even led a nomadic people into battle to lay claim to a promised land. What caused such a complex deity to come into existence? What caused this complex being to have the traits "he" has?

@@deniseowens1163 Do you have any secular record from that time that all 12 apostoles (because i think you are talking about them, and other people were just repeating the lie not knowing it was a lie) were killed because of their faith. It is false on many levels, most obviously it is populary accepted that suposed Judas killed himself, so him beeing killed for his faith was only possible if he magically rose from the dead like that hipster with long hair who just started new sect. The earliest record from non christian source (using christian sources would be like trying to prove that magic exists using Harry Potter books which i think everyone would agree is nonsense) is the letter of Pliny the Younger who specifically did give these very early Christians a choice between dying and worshiping Jesus. They overwhelmingly recanted and did not die for their faith. (www.earlychristianwritings.com/text/pliny.html if you want to read about this) Saying 'No one would never die for a lie' is demonstrably false. Throughout the history many people died for lies, just some popular examples include: durning the WWII Japanese civilians killing themselves becaouse of false belief that Americans will missthreat them, in the same war many germans died based on a belief that they were superior race. Besides all of that, i don't need to disprove your holy book, until you give me some evidence that it is true, the burden of proof is on your side, and untill you provide some evidence i can dismiss it without any evidence. And we know that you can't give any evidence because of so many contradictions not just of the bible with the reality, and the numerous historical accounts, but primarly with the bible within itself, for example how many women visited the tomb, either: a) 3 - gospel of Mark b) 2 - gospel of Matthew c) more than 3 - gospel of Luke d) 1- gospel of John how could all four of them not agree on a so important fact relating circumstances of the very fact chistianity depends on - the resurrection of Jesus. I'm not talking here about the easy to disprove false stories in the bible (the book suposedly written by omniscient god) like the creation myth, or noah's flood. This is the very thing christianity depends on. And don't even let me start on all the logical contradictions in the bible, and christianity as a whole.

It’s a fruit that comes about from your repentance and your trust in the Lord. You wish to share the Gospel as Ray now does; you become more compassionate and giving. One of the many issues with this argument is that it sees a gap and then fills it with a guess. I know many religious deeply feel it is true through faith, but faith isn't a reliable arbiter of truth. This is the attempt to use philosophy as science. They explore separate issues and use vastly different ways of getting there. Religion does not have anything to add to the physical exploration of the origins of our universe. It can only add to the beliefs of why we are here. Religion also does not have any reason to challenge evolution. It is unable to challenge in the same way philosophy can't. We didn't use philosophy to build the Saturn 5 and we also didn't pray it into existence. It is important to know what religion is used for and how to properly apply it. Evolutionary biology has brought us a better understanding of genes in order to create beneficial therapies. This is how science works it produces applicable results. Creation "Science" does not as of yet.

Friendly Disclaimer: There is a huge difference between the Catholic bible and The Bible. The Catholics in their attempt to stop the growth of Christianity added books to their canon. However, the Apochrypha was not in the Torah (what we call The Old Testament). Paul talked about the Oracles being committed to the Jews (read {Romans 3:2}). Therefore, we know that Christians have the true Holy Scriptures. On another interesting point Jews also need salvation through Jesus Christ alone (read {John 14:6}, {Acts 4:12}, {Romans 11} & {Ephesians 2:8-10}). The Jews also need to accept The New Testament aswell.

Furthermore, you cannot add to God's word lest He rebuke you and you be found a liar (read {Proverbs 30:5-6}). The Apocrypha is not Scripture. I say this because I love you. Scratch many atheists hard enough and you'll find a childhood of forced church going by at best, well meaning parents, and at worst, truly wicked hypocrites who have wrecked the person's concept of Christ. But churches can do that if the parents don't. I keep being reminded of that verse that goes "Train a child up in the way he should go, and when he is old he will return to it." or something like that. Why did "God" have to sacrifice Himself to forgive His Creations? Why did "God" have to die? How could "God" die? Isn't God All Powerful?
@scottm40425 жыл бұрын
First question. Because there was no other way for man to be saved. If Jesus hadn't died, or backed out and said, I won't do this, then we would all be doomed forever because of Adam's sin. As to how could God do it, we don't understand everything about God. How could He make a flower by speaking the word? We couldn't handle all of God's knowledge, but we need to trust Him anyway...like a child would trust His parent, who is trying to protect him from harm.

@@scottm4042 do you thank the ones who crucified and killed Jesus? Do you love them? I think if that's the case as you've explained, then we should all love and thank the ones who crucified and killed Jesus. Because of them we got our salvation. Do you really think that new born innocent babies have sin? Poor babies.
@scottm40425 жыл бұрын
@@Jakartish Jesus loved those that crucified Him. He asked the Father to forgive them, and He tells us to love our enemies. His death and resurrection surprised most people because they didn't undrrstand what was prophesied in scripture, like Isaiah 53, that He was to be like a Lamb to the slaughter. His purpose was to die for the sins of the world. If His enemies knew, they might not have crucified Him. Many thought the Messiah would come and through violence be made King. Instead, the Messiah came to defeat sin and death, and set up His eternal kingdom. He is the Lord of lords. And because of His work, even babies can be saved!

Ray, can you please dumb it down for me a little further. Can you elaborate on the trust part besides the analogy of the parachute. My fear is that I'm deluding myself in that I'm born again, I think I am but everything feels like a struggle. I know in a lot of my life I'm not doing what God wants me to do. Matthew 7:21-23 Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?and in thy name have cast out devils?and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. I don't want to be one who is not on the narrow path, please help.

J O'B There has never in my life been a moment where I loved God as I should and never have I ever done good, so I know without a doubt what I deserve is nothing short of an eternity in Hell. I can rest assured, however, that Jesus, who only ever loved God perfectly and has only ever done perfect goodness has paid my debt to God and transferred His utter perfection to me, absolutely nothing I have done or can do contribute to salvation. If you don't think you're worthy of salvation, you aren't. And neither is anyone else, you have to trust fully in the salvific work of Christ. Therein lies the parachute analogy: you will fall the same no matter what you do, only by putting on your parachute can you survive the fall, and nothing else.
@limpingllama575 жыл бұрын
I have good news :3 Well said. I would like to clarify my saying "I've never done good." 'Good' deeds are doable, but the Bible makes it clear that, even when doing our best deeds, they are but filthy rags in sight of God's complete and utter perfection. Thinking about Jesus, who *actually* did good deeds, this emphasises Christ's sacrifice and should make us cling to Christ as our savior all the more.

His last line to Ray was, "You seem like a good guy, man." Did you not hear what Ray had just been saying? We are not good, only God is good. Instead, he should say, "God is Good, and He is doing good in you." Or something like that. We all seem to use the term good improperly.

Good can mean a few different things. People aren't morally good. But that doessnt mean that people can't hsve good character traits or a good personality. People can have good things about them, there just not morally good cause we all sin .
@scottm4042 Жыл бұрын
@@dustygatrell-ru7tg Yes, I think good relates to overall generality of the moral condition, ie. he's a good guy, or she's a good person, etc. Those need to be qualified to either righteous in God's eyes, or, according to man's standard. The truth is in God's eyes, he/she is not good, unless righteous through Jesus Christ.

well... God forgiveness is not a license to sin. God is not gonna let people take advantage of him. Know one desearve God or his love, that is why dying for our sin and rose from the dead was a free gift. Grace was made for those who dont deserve it.

Repentance isnt the price, repentance and accepting Jesus is the acceptance of the free gift. Salvation is the gift and if we were to pay the price we'd have to go to hell to pay it. But salvation is free if you accept it through repentance and accepting Jesus. In summary you can pay your wages in hell for eternity or accept the free gift of salvation through those things

once you cross the line it is settled and finished. there is no undo. The problem is people say they have a good relationship with God abandon God. Truth is, they never were saved in the first place. Once you know the truth, there is no going back. I was saved when I was four years old in the month of April. I remember writing down that I want Christ in my life. and so from that moment on, I have been saved. So. The problem is in people falsely accepting Christ. They might say it out loud or even believe they are saved but have the wrong motives in life. But once you have the Holy Spirit there is no going back. The glory that you witness in God is so great there is not even a reason to reject or deny God. I also believe Salvation is a promise and a covenant. God will not break his covenant. The only thing we need to do is to have faith that Christ died for our sins. it is all by grace you are saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest anyone should boast" Ephesians 2:8-9 that step of faith is like a parachute and is the only thing on our side of the covenant. God's side is everlasting life. He cannot break that bond. Sanctification is the process of becoming holy which is possible through Christ's righteousness who is our righteousness. Repentance is in this stage in our walk of with God. The Holy Spirit convicts us of our wrongdoings and we repent because it is part of being sanctified and because we Love God. If you made it this far, my message is that I have no part in contributing to a gift. That is illogical. My faith and repentance is an act of obedience not act of which I might be saved. I am already saved. So if anyone reads this and is struggling to believe whether you are saved or not, the day of salvation is today. Open your heart to Christ Jesus, put your trust and faith in him and trust him to guide you throughout your life. If this is sincere in your hearts to those who really need to read this, then salvation is given by Christ Jesus today.

" And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father." No body can know Jesus spiritually unless he is humbled and the Holy Spirit comes into his life..No intellectual arguments will win non beleivers over to Christ unless they humble themselves and crucify the flesh and are willing to die from their old earthly life.

"The Catholic church teaches you have to earn your salvation." Uhh. No. This is what the Church teaches: "Canon 1. If anyone says that man can be justified before God by his own works, whether done by his own natural powers or through the teaching of the law,[110] without divine grace through Jesus Christ, let him be anathema. Canon 2. If anyone says that divine grace through Christ Jesus is given for this only, that man may be able more easily to live justly and to merit eternal life, as if by free will without grace he is able to do both, though with hardship and difficulty, let him be anathema. Canon 3. If anyone says that without the predisposing inspiration of the Holy Ghost[111] and without His help, man can believe, hope, love or be repentant as he ought,[112] so that the grace of justification may be bestowed upon him, let him be anathema."

As a former catholic, I was taught that I had to attend mass every week or I sinned. I was taught that if you prayed these prayers for this amount of time to this person who died then it will be answered. I was taught that as long as you went to confession your sins would be forgiven for sure even though God Grant's mercy to Whomever He Will and hardens whomever He Wills.

I was born catholic, My whole family are catholic. I was never at ease with Catholicism teachings? Since I started reading the bible, I am astonished to find so many In discrepancy, in Catholicism ! Scripture (the bible) is the word of God. In ,Mathew, Jesus says, that the words he speaks (scripture) is the Spirit that gives life ! But some of you don’t believe me. Also that God is Spirit 🕊 God’s holy word ( The Bible) says,That we should call no man father ! or Holy ! or bow down to no one ! or Worship no images, Idols ! or any other God’s but Him our Father in heaven for he is a jealous God ! Scripture also says ( Jesus ) that the only way to the father is through the Son ( Jesus ) and that no one can come to him unless the father sends them ¥ Jesus also teaches us how to pray to the father, through Him,in his Holy name Jesus ¥ No where in the bible does it say or even mention praying to anyone else ! Be it the blessed virgin Mary , mother of Christ❤️! or the saints ! or anyone ! Scripture says worship no other God,but our father in heaven ! Also that the ONLY HOLY ONE IS OUR FATHER GOD IN HEAVEN 🕊 And that he is OUR FATHER 👀👂🏼🙏 As Jesus was speaking to the crowd , a women in the crowd called out ,”God bless your mother-the womb from which u came and the breast that nursed you !” Jesus replied , “BUT EVEN MORE BLESSED ARE ALL WHO HEAR THE WORD OF GOD AND PUT IT I NTO PRACTICE.”(Luke 11:27-28) No where in the Bible is The Virgin Mary to be revered, prayed to ,or worshipped !( Bless her ❤️) No where in the Bible, are saints to be prayed to ! Only the Father , in Jesus Christ name ✝️ Only God can forgive sin ! No where is the Pope (Vatican) ordained by God nor given authority to stand in for God on earth 🔥The pope is ordained by mans doctrine not the holy word of God ( know them by their fruits!Look at the fruits of the Catholic Church) Blood shed, torture murder, in the name of Jesus?✝️Jesus teaches Peace,forgiveness, humility, LOVE ❤️Jesus made a new ever lasting COVENANT at the LAST SUPPER ❤️✝️🕊 Turn the other cheek! Love your enemy ! Forgive if you want to be forgiven by our father ! Spread the message of GOD’s Good News IN PEACE ! HUMBLY ! with LOVE 🙏 Just like ,Our Lord Jesus did ! We are his ambassadors, we come in his name UNDYING LOVE ❤️ COMPASSIONATE FORGIVENESS in HIS HOLY SPIRIT 🕊 Not the worlds evil ways of death and destruction, chaos rampage? Romans 2 : 15-16 ,They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts ♥️, for their own conscious and thoughts either accuse them or tell them their are doing right.16 And this is the message I proclaim-that the day is coming When God through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone’s secret life. ¥ The Vatican has changed the day of worship to Sunday ! When,The 4th commandment IS THOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD THY GOD ON THE SABBATH (Saturday ) (according by the moon. calendar ) Scripture says God blessed the Sabbath and made it Holy 🕊 ! So that all could pause to ponder and admire the wondrous miracle of His work God’s awesome creation 🔥🌪🌏 If God wanted people to baptise babies, Mary & Joseph would have baptised Jesus at birth ! And John the Baptist would have been calling for all to bring their babies to be baptised. Amen 👀👂🏼 Jesus showed us by example that we are to be baptised by our own choice in renouncing Satan and the ways of the world! And accepting Jesus the Christ as our Saviour by our freewill John the Baptist said to Jesus you should baptise me . Jesus replied its my fathers will . Amen 🕊 This tells us that it’s God’s will for us to be baptised by water at an age of consent ! Given freely by our own freedom choice ! A gift from God 🔥 There’s so much more that Catholicism defies according to Scripture the Holy Bible God’s word of truth , the Spirit of life ! 👀Look for yourself and you will see that Catholicism is in contradiction with God’s commands & laws Romans 1:18- 19. They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities- his eternal power and divine nature . So they have no excuse for not knowing GOD ¥ 21. Yes they knew God but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result their minds became dark and confused 22. Claiming to be wise they instead become utter FOOLS 23.. And instead of worshiping the glorious ever-living God , they worshipped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles ( you may think you don’t worship these things, pls think again ?) mere people images & Statues of Mary & all the saints ? You may say you don’t worship birds , animals or reptiles ? Pls think again have you not noticed the carvings on church buildings ? Even the fish hats the Pope and the cardinals where that are really worn for the God of the sea ! ( pls check it out ! It’s imperative that people know the truth,for Jesus is coming soon to put things right ! We his children have to be Spiritually ready ! And the catholic religion does not preach the word the true Jesus of the Bible 🙏❤️✝️🕊🔥. 🌪. 🐍🦊☠️🌏😈 May the love of Jesus Christ the healing of his word and fruits of his spirit come upon you, so the scales will fall away from your eyes and you will see the truth of God Almighty word of spiritual giving life eternally Amen . Peace be with you ¥ God bless you sister ♥️✝️🕊
