Lemon grass, but it does not work how he claim's.. he is lying about buying the bees so he looks like a poor man starting new , but hes actually a rich man who doesnt think you will support him if you know hes rich, so instead of being truthfull he has decided to decieve you... the plant you asked about is called lemon grass in english, you can buy it as an oil its better and you only need one drop of oil to attract bees, but most people who use this method put up around 20 swarm traps to catch their own bees escaping when they decide to swarm and they only catch a few per year surrounding there own bee farm.. you will need to make 20 swarm traps with lemongrass, and find a beekeeper who lets you put up traps near their apiary (bee farm) and dont mind you taking there bees, because most will be mad your stealing there bees before they can catch them back.... if you really want bees do what the fake lying doctor actually did and buy them ... because your only going to catch bees from around a hive that is overcrowded and swarming, and unless you have that, you wont catch bees..

The queens chamber is the one all the bees directly get into. The honey chamber is the further chamber. The other bees can get there besides the Queen. The idea is you don't want the queen to lay eggs in the honey chamber

I have always thought about going into bee keeping but I would like to know it's value chain
@mbasalalendle18783 жыл бұрын
On the one end of the value chain you have your start up inputs which as seen on this video can be DIY or if you have money you can buy a beehive from a supplier other suppliers would be for your suit and equipment beehive tool a simply long aerated bread knife could do a smoker. You then would need an extractor if your using the langstroth beehive but a top bar beehive you simply crush and strain your honey after cutting out the combs you can package them yourself buying jars plastic or glass depend on your market preference benefit of honey as a product is if stores well can stay fresh indefinitely giving you time to market your product and get the right price for it there are barely any month to month inputs beside checking up and maintaining your beehives makes sure there’s enough vegetation and flowers nearby for them to forage on so they don’t have to go too far wasting energy that go forage this will help with productivity

What can I use to prevent the wood from roting with time?! I was thinking of vanish, but it smells like a bee repellant.
@AIS.FarmResorts3 жыл бұрын
There’re many wood treatments (chemicals) you can use. The most important thing is to make sure it soaks the wood well and the let it dry out before using. Bees don’t eat wood, so they will not be repelled by the scent. Also wood termites are unlikely to eat the wood once the bees have colonised the hive. Good luck
