It’s not meant to be the greatest guitar in the world and it’s not meant to sound the best either so stop hating. I’d like to see you try and make one of these. It’s a cool project to work on aswell. I dare you make an electric guitar out of a guitar hero controller
@Roaether
@Roaether 8 жыл бұрын
That would be near impossible, unless you where to strenthen the neck a lot. Each string has a tension of around 15-20 pounds EACH, so they could be pulling on with a total force of 90-120 pounds, and a plastic neck could never support that. Even now, modern guitars have a steel rod (a Truss Rod) in neck to allow it to be thinner. it could be done, yes, but the ammount of work done on it (strengthening the neck/body, wiring it, shaving down and re-freting the fret board, etc) would probably change the guitar so much that it would look nothing like the original But hey, if you want to ship me a Guitar Hero guitar, the electronics, a threaded rod, and some tools to my apartment in China, I'd be more then happy to try XD

Keep up the good work! Peace and Love. Sakis.

i've never asked you, but why don't you buy a real lathe? is it too expensive for you? or is it something else.
@ScrapwoodCity

It is a real lathe! It's just smaller!

Scrap wood City yes, i know. it is jsut strange that it doesn't have a toolbit, but as long as it does you good i guess it is a real lathe :D

Brandon Gloeckner yes, but aren't the same methods applied in the wood lathes? i admit that i am not well acquainted with the woodworking processes, but doing it by hand seems somewhat inaccurate and slow. prone to mistake. i am wrong?
@ScrapwoodCity

I think you are indeed talking about a metal lathe. Yes that lathe is much more accurate, but I don't have the money and the space for one. Besides all that I like working my woodworking lathe it's a really cool process doing it by hand, I really enjoy it!
