It's a cool idea but might not work too well. Different woods have different density, i think it would be a tricky to make it have a decent action, When each section wants to do something different. It would definitely be a challenge to pull it off successfully.

I missed this video! I don't know how, since octopuses are one of my favorite animals! You said you weren't sure which plural version of octopus was correct, technically octopuses is correct. Adding an "i" to make a word plural is a latin thing, while the word octopus is a greek word, so having the "s" at the end is the proper choice. All that said, language evolves, and while octopi is traditionally wrong, enough people have used it to make it become an accepted word, and I would argue it's just as valid a way to make octopus plural. It's one of those things where only people trying to show off will try to correct you. :)
