"I'm trying to remember what friends do in a friend group." This is TOO relatable.

i do the scene-by-scene outline too!! mine is a little different but the principle is the same! it's nice to see someone else structuring their plan really similarly:)

You struggling to remember what friends do in a group is the most 2020 thing I’ve ever heard

Your dark academia sounds amazing! I’m writing one too for nanowrimo, but mine is more Gothic with Dark Academia Vibes. The aesthetic is just SO GOOD

I really like your outline technique! Definitely doing something like that for this year's NaNo! Thank you so much for sharing!

OMG your scene outline is amazing...so organized! It would probably really help during the editing process, too. Hope NaNo is going well for you!

Hi Adele!! Sorry if this is long, but which one of these do you relate to more: 1) I shift into other people's perspectives to understand situations from many angles. I experience "aha moments" and insights, feeling as though I have come to a profound realization about the world or a situation. I can predict future events with accuracy, as I notice trends and patterns (in events) that I synthesize into a coherent predictions. I may resolve conflicts through my ability to understand the underlying meanings of multiple points of view (for example, two arguing people are using two different words to mean the same thing, so you tell them that they're using different terms but actually agree). Additionally, I prioritize things based on human needs--mine and others'. I understand human dynamics and what social situations call for, allowing me to act appropriately in nearly any atmosphere and create a sense of social harmony. I like to build and communicate good boundaries in my relationships, and to try to gauge how everyone around me feels. 2) I live by my core values and ethics. I have a strong conviction to follow what I believe to be right and important. I have inner alignment, and I value authenticity. I work hard to be true to myself, understand my own identity, and encourage others to do the same. I would never do something that crosses my morals, which I hold strongly, and if I did, I would feel extremely distraught and possibly lost. I value being sympathetic, and I like art. I also try to understand how I feel about the items, ideas, people, and events in my life, assigning personal meaning to various things. Additionally, I am an innovator. I think outside of the box and like to brainstorm. I value novelty and originality. I am good at recognizing patterns in behaviors and processes of myself and the things/people around me. I see between the lines and make connections, allowing myself to decode the unvoiced and assemble the whole puzzle while missing some of the pieces. (This is rephrased from the works of Joel Mark Witt and Antonia Dodge.)

I don't do goal-conflict-resolution, I do "function of scene". All in one box. Works fine for me. ^_^

I remember in 2018 I found your channel during NaNo and you barely had any subscribers. You have grown a lot! Congratulations! The scene outline is interesting, but does it not take away a lot of the creativity durinh writing?
@adelexmarie4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! And no, I don’t think it does for me. I like to do all my brainstorming and planning before I start writing and while I do follow the outline, I always allow myself some room to change things if it ends up going a different direction than I planned. I think the whole process is a way to be creative and I’ve never felt stifled creatively by it :)

Does that template come on scrivener?

Unfortunately it does not. It is a template of my own design that I created. I might b releasing some templates soon since a lot of people have asked about it!
