Ive always been a bit wary of 7 day kits, but I was given a SG Platinum kit for Christmas. I feel a bit more at ease after watching your video. So here goes....

Just make sure you take the hydrometer reading, and it is at the right reading before you add the stabiliser.

Hi Davin! Would the stabiliser work with my scrumpy to stop fermentation before it becomes completely dry?

Yes. You could stop it at 1.010 and it would have a slight sweetness. It will be a flat cider. But if you are going to add stabiliser, then wait for it to fully ferment, then add the stabiliser, leave for 48 hours, clear it with finings, then add sugar to back sweeten to your desired sweetness. Otherwise you can end up with a cider that has sulphurous aromas.
